Keep your house blinds with care

The interior blinds are an exotic element for a contemporary interior decoration. These window coverings not only enhance the aesthetics of your room but also adjust the room temperature and provide privacy without restricting the beautiful exterior view. However, their original blinds need care and maintenance to last. But remember all blinds can not be treated the same and there are specific ways for each type. Just be sure to place a long cloth or plastic sheet under the awning while cleaning.

If the fins or vision blinds are genuine wood, you can not use soap and water as they will deform and damage the wood. Choose a vacuum cleaner along with a soft bristle attachment so you can clean the dust after the blade clean. Pay attention to both sides of the valve and also the head rail. Traditional dusters are ineffective and therefore need a duster armed with magnetic properties. Microfiber dust cloths are a good choice, but be careful to shake between sets. On the other hand, false wood blinds can be put with water or detergents. Use a damp cloth and a little mild detergent to clean these shades. In addition, you should aspire once a week.

Metal shutters must be vacuumed or dusted weekly to limit dust buildup. You will need a microfiber cloth powder specially treated to clean each of the individual blades. For thorough cleaning, wipe a damp cloth or sponge with mild (or cold) water and soap and clean the slots one at a time. The house fabric blinds need a single sweep each week with your vacuum cleaner (which comes with soft bristles). Some of them can also be washed in the machine. But before the actual cleaning process, you should pay attention to remove all the seats. Then fold the fabric and put it in a pillowcase before washing in the machine. However, be sure to use a mild detergent.
