Horizontal or vertical? Vision Blinds for your home.

Horizontal and vertical blinds are smart options to cover your windows, and they are very similar to each other. The biggest difference between the two types is the way they are attached to the window. The  vision blinds are perfect to obtain the much needed privacy and be an effective decorating tool.

The verticals usually have a manual rotation function that allows the light to pass a little or a lot. When they are completely closed, the slats overlap to provide a complete blockage of light. Attached to the window frame at the top and bottom, they usually have a chain to make sure they are in order and in place. More expensive, modern varieties are weighed and do not need a chain.

Vertical blinds are available in a wide variety of thicknesses and materials. Some are patterned and a full color palette is available. The more blockages they provide, in general, the more expensive they will be. Some vision blinds are very wide, so you need fewer individual slats to cover the window, while others are narrower and the  twin blinds will have more slats.

Horizontal blinds are available with strings attached to the right and left sides of a window. These Zebra blinds have a plastic or wooden rod that moves the strings to turn the slats. The slats maintain a horizontal position and are usually attached to the top of a window. This allows you to filter the light allowed in the room by opening or closing the slats, according to your preference.

The Vision blinds are an excellent option for window decorations for the bathroom, kitchen or any other place in the house that contains moisture. Window blinds are easy to clean, water resistant and cannot be damaged by steam or splashing water, unlike cloth curtains. An interesting feature of vertical blinds is that they do not accumulate dust like horizontal blinds, while they are easier to clean.

There is a wide variety of vertical and horizontal blinds. Many of these blinds have attractive features, such as those operated by remote control. They offer special safety features that prevent children or pets from pulling blinds or cables while hanging from the window. However, keep in mind that the slats usually have sharp edges, as well as gaps between the slats that could create safety problems in a child who traps his head in a vision blinds. The use of vertical blinds may not offer this protection. Therefore, you can consider another form of window treatment if the blinds do not meet your needs.

Opinions vary as to whether the blinds are a practical and effective presentation of window treatments. Although with all window treatments available in different textures and colors, you should be able to find something that expresses your personal taste in interior design. Some people prefer a more elegant appearance and can customize them upon request. Although they are a bit more expensive, they are offered in a wide range of options. The vision blinds are a preferred choice for the office and best offer a modern and contemporary atmosphere.
